Overall a step back

Where are the league tables? Navigating to find whats happening in the leagues or the transfer market takes longer now. The navigation bar on the left was more intuitive. Making a tab just for your other app, for which I dont really see the reason for being, is weird considering other things like tables and galleries dont.

On another note I like the clean look and having the comments section directly inside an article.
